(1) The Commission shall designate the required number of polling stations and sub-stations for the election (2) If the Election Officer deems it necessary to add or reduce polling stations or sub-stations as per sub-section (1), he may send a written notice to the Commission along with the need and justification for the addition and reduction, and if the Commission deems such action reasonable, he may add or reduce polling stations or sub-stations.
(3) If necessary, the Election Officer may move the polling station or sub-station to a place that is convenient or suitable from a practical point of view after taking the prior approval of the Commission.
(4) According to sub-sections (1), (2) and (3), the notification of designated, added, reduced or moved polling centers and sub-centres shall be published in the Nepal Gazette.
(5) There may be one or more polling stations, sub-stations or polling booths within the area of ​​a polling station as required.
(6) The basis, procedure and other arrangements for designating polling centers, sub-centres or polling booths shall be as prescribed.
